“There are only two kinds of forest communities – those that have had a fire and those that are going to.”

--Jim Paxon

Expertise for Communities, Businesses and Residents

For Jim Paxon, the forest has been his home and office for nearly four decades. He loves the forest and understands man’s desire to live and play in its beauty. However, Jim also believes that with that privilege comes responsibility.

As a leader in the United States Fire Service, Jim became an expert on the natural importance of fire, as well as the role of communities and residents in preparing for the inevitability of fire. Although he is retired from the Forest Service, Jim continues to live his passion and share his expertise by consulting with governments, businesses and residents on how to live with fire.
